ON THE VERGE. . .

It has come to my attention, through the mainstream media, that President-Dictator Clinton lied about having an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Said media states that while the majority of the American people have no respect for the man, allegedly they still support him as President, saying that he is doing a "good job" with the economy and foreign relations.

To me, it is a no-brainer to say that a politician lied - so long as his or her lips are moving, one can basically count on the statement being a lie. To claim that the public still supports Clinton in general is rather presumptive at best. Most people in the United States are so fed up with politics in general that they really could care less who is "in charge," so long as they have a job and food on their table.

President-Dictator Clinton is a man with no honor. That was true long before this scandal broke, and will no doubt be true for the rest of his days. Congress, however, is made up of people who are largely cut from the same mold. Due to the nature of the beast, very few honorable people venture into politics, and those who do rarely get elected. Anyone who is surprised by recent events in Washington DC has obviously not been paying attention.

The present tempest is a symptom of the rot in the social and political fabric of the United States. It is not a cause, it is an effect. Clinton and his antics will not bring about the collapse of the American Republic - it just helps push things along. Pundits are saying that people will continue to support Clinton so long as the economy remains robust. If that is the case, then these polls may well start trending downward in the next few months. The Federal Reserve just made a token rate decrease, and chances are that is just the beginning as the worldwide mercantilist system continues to collapse.

Besides that, who among you reading these words actually believe those polls are accurate? Have any of you been contacted by these pollsters? If you don't live in Los Angeles or New York City, chances are good that you never have been contacted, and never will be. A lot depends on WHO is asked, WHEN they are asked, and WHY they are asked. By asking the questions a certain way, one could show that a majority of Americans favor the death penalty for parking violations. Statistics can be used to show that everyone on this planet is DEAD. These polls are just rubbish - the majority is tired of hearing about Clinton and Lewinsky, and that is all to say on that.

When the American economy starts to get hammered by the problems facing the rest of the world, when the Y2K computer problem bites the government on the butt (I think that most companies will come up with solutions that will minimize disruptions come January 1, 2000, but the government will take it on the chin), then we shall see what most people think. I fear that the American Republic will collapse within the next ten years, and that the U.S. will breakup into ten to fifteen new countries. Whether this will be good or bad remains to be seen.

We live in interesting times and have come to the attention of important people. So, let the games begin. Keep your eyes open, as being vigilant in times as turbulent as what is to come really is the only way to survive. The riots of 1992 will likely pale in comparison to what may be coming. Perhaps it can be avoided, but I am not very optimistic about that. Take care and be aware!
