BLACK HOLOCAUSTWhen Black people express their distrust of white people due to carry-over after-effects of slavery, there is an instant defensive reaction on
the part of most white people, who are quick to disassociate themselves from what is
universally regarded as a morally repugnant institution, slavery. But the concrete reality
of its effects have transcended time, and are being visited upon all Americans.
And in order to achieve some civil peace, it is vital that white people come to
understand the real Black experience in America. This article is about
a little-known riot in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1921. In 12 hours, 3,000 Black Americans
were killed in one of the worst outbreaks of racist violence in the history of the republic.
Who expected Bosnia to be nothing more than Tulsa revisited?

The TRUTH About HaitiIn one of the great campaigns to prove that America is still a world-power,
all the massive military might of the United States was focused on miniscule Haiti.
Yet after ousting the military junta, a cache of documents disappeared into American hands,
which became the focus of a conflict, as the newly restored Haitian government attempted
to prosecute the terrorists who overthrew the democratically-elected Aristide Government.
As usual, the Federal Government of the U.S. republic was double-dealing, and using unsavory connections in Haiti as a
"counterbalance" against Aristide... THE TRUTH ABOUT HAITI |

The GORE of GLORYThe Spanish-American War took place when Imperialism was still
considered a positive thing. Senior imperialists considered it a "splendid little war,"
disregarding the two years the U.S. Army had to spend "pacifying" the newly
conquered colonials. In this review of "Empire by Default," the
reviewer refreshes our memory about the beginning of the American Century,
and what it really cost us to become a World Power. Very relevant as one
of the country's most political presidents leads the nation into a war against
Iraq... THE GORE OF GLORY |

INSIDE THE POLICE STATEDescribed as an "occupying army," LAPD suffers from endless internal struggles
for power. But its real struggle is to preserve its supremacy within the general
bureaucracy that controls the Los Angeles Basin. This article is a statement by a member
of the senior staff at the LAPD, and it reflects criticism of the current Chief's
efforts to take over the policing and law enforcement duties of all the other city agencies.

CORRUPTION in the REPUBLICThe Special Prosecutor laws came out of the Watergate era, when the Cold War
Police-State was at its apogee. The two chief terrorists of the era both passed from
the scene about the same time, J. Edgar Hoover and Richard Nixon. You could hear the sighs
of relief across the country... The FBI ran the paper-shredder day and night until
all the files with evidence of their complicity in break-ins, cover-ups and frame-ups was
safely destroyed. Hoover kept files on all the key figures in the country, and imagined
himself as the embodiment of America, one of the most powerful unelected officials of all
time, the ultimate bureaucrat. Hoover's death was followed by the
resignation of the demagogic President Nixon, after he was caught in the act of obstructing
justice, and it became clear that the support needed to impeach him in the Congress was standing
by, ready to do just that. Morale among the partisans of the republic was at its lowest.
In order to restore confidence in the republic, which was being led by President Ford -- a
man who had never won a national election, and who was virtually appointed as president --
the Independent Counsel statute was enacted. Of course, its true purpose was not to weed
out corruption, but to give the appearance that something was being done about it anytime
some of it came to light; of which, judging by how many prosecutors have been appointed, there must
be an ample supply. In this article, an AP reporter analyzes the history of the Independent Counsel
statute, and its future. CORRUPTION IN THE REPUBLIC |

FEDERAL GOV'T NEGLECTS ENFORCEMENT of CHILD LABOR LAWSThe Department of Labor, it appears, does not carry out the laws against child labor the Congress enacted,
but instead makes up the law as it goes along, hoping no one notices. The Congress mandated that
companies caught exploiting children for labor should be fined $10,000, and all goods made by the children
should be seized; the Department of Labor, all at its own discretion, rarely fines the companies more
than $1000, and goods are never seized. LAX CHILD-LABOR LAW ENFORCEMENT |
PRISON "SUICIDE" RAISES DOUBTS"Correctional" facilities constitute one of the fastest growing professional fields in the
United States, with a prisoner population in excess of 1.6 million Americans. In this case
an inmate went on a hunger strike claiming the prison officials were violating a court
order that required the prison to provide the inmate with meals that complied with his religious
beliefs. When this hunger strike resulted in the death of the inmate, all kinds of questions
came up, as did a massive body of paperwork from the prison that all basically accused the
prisoner of committing suicide. Jailhouse "suicides" are common among minority communities,
even for the most minor traffic infractions and violations. As the police state fully matures,
and the U.S. assumes the full pretense of the most powerful state on the Earth, with
more of its own citizens held in jail than any other country in the world, it should
be a matter of interest to the individual how inmates are treated, for there but by the
grace of God COULD BE YOU NEXT... or your loved one.

MEDICAL MARIJUANAIn the middle of the Federal Government's holy war against drugs, the voters of
Arizona and California became apostates and enacted laws allowing the use of medical
marijuana. (In Arizona the law now allows the use of marijuana, cocaine, heroine,
methamphetamine, and LSD, with a doctor's prescription). The law enforcement bureaucracy
of the State of California went into a full state of denial, and then completely abdicated
responsibility for drafting guidelines for carrying Proposition 215 into effect, the new "law
of the land" allowing marijuana use for medical purposes. Now an appellate court has
issued a ruling changing the rules of the game, but the battle is far from over. One
county supervisor has even proposed that the county government of San Mateo County become
a supplier of medical marijuana to patients! MEDICAL MARIJUANA |

DEATH & MEDICINE IN U.S. JAILSIf you "read" USA Today, the newspaper in which colorful graphics replace hard
information, you may have seen the 1" of text about the primitive state of medicine in
Los Angeles County Jails, the largest jail operating in the United States. This is the
whole article from which the USA Today excerpt is derived. If you thought the LAPD's
handling of the DNA evidence in the O.J. Simpson case was bad, (causing the case against
O.J. to be lost), it will shock you when you find out how horrific the state of medicine is
within the correctional institutions of the republic.

The BALKANIZATION OF AMERICANoam Chomsky recently made the statement on C-SPAN that in Harlem, New York City,
conditions that are Third World-like can be found immediately adjacent to the splendor of
the rich and well-to-do. This illustrates the same incongruities of the 1920s, before the
"Great" Depression, when modern technology made the lives of the rich easier, while the lot
of the poor laboring masses continued its downward spiral. Today the statistics supposedly
reflect an improving economy, yet the demands on soup kitchens and food pantries have
skyrocketed. THE AMERICAN PRESS ABSOLUTELY REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE REPUBLIC'S ROLE
IN THE IMPOVERISHMENT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

T-H-A-I-L-A-N-DHow A 700-Year Old System of Government FunctionsWhile the debate continues as to what kind of government is the "best," countries
with governments hundreds of years old continue on, stable as ever, even providing their
people with most of the legal guarantees we are indoctrinated to associate with "modern republics."
The king of Thailand is one of the great personages of our time, yet he is largely
unknown in America, only because of the pro-republican, anti-monarchical prejudices of
the U.S. press. You will be surprised at how popular the longest-reigning monarch is
in the hearts of his countrymen. THAILAND |
The FIRST VICE COPThe first vice cop was a self-appointed zealot named Anthony Comstock. In
the true spirit of the fascist republic, puritans like Comstock erected the machinery
of an Orwellian terrorist state. We live with this today in the endless campaigns
of police and fanatics who think that all sex that is not within the confines of marriage
is immoral, and who seek to control the private acts of adults.
The only "war" with possibly more casualties than the "Drug War" is
the War on Vice, and here you are given a vivid (PG-rated) history of this war.
A war that -- like all the Federal Government's social "wars" -- has as its primary
target none other than AMERICAN nationals.

The FREE MARKET & SPECULATORS
As the stock market soars to unprecedented levels, merger-mania is taking hold of the
rich and famous... But not everything is coming up roses in the free-for-all, grab-it-while-you-can
world of big business. As the world market opens up, a select group of mega-corporations
are emerging that will dominate the future global economy; or will they? Some
business historians don't think the current fad of acquisitions will result in a
leaner, more efficient economy, instead, they see corporate lawyers cashing in on the mergers,
earning multi-million dollar fees putting the mergers together, and then when, a few
years later the mergers collapse, the same corporate lawyers earn the big bucks overseeing
the dismembering of the conglomerates. This article addresses the reality of the "urge to merge,"
and how it effects you...

FBI DESTROYS AMERICANSThe key to any police state is the way it treats its citizens,
and the fascist republic is no exception. The McCarthy era
endured, officially, for a mere four years, but the policies of fear and
repression were carried out for fifty years, not only after the demise of
Sen. McCarthy, but of his twin-in-terror, J. Edgar Hoover.
Hoover's FBI had a list of 10,000 ordinary workers, all of whom
were blacklisted WITHOUT TRIALS for suspicion. Hoover was
the Himmler of the Republic, the man responsible for the American
Gestapo. And the tyranny goes on...

The CURSE OF THE PRESIDENCYNow the Nixon tapes are open to public scrutiny, and the whole
episode is being exposed in Dick Nixon's own words. The only problem
for America is that it must bear the burden of a corrupt system of
government, while thinking that it is the most advanced. This review on
the book "Abuse of Power" gives an in-depth view of the values of
the run-of-the-mill president; everyone in the Know realizes that
all Nixon did was he got caught. Think of that when the next round
of Congressional hearings start... And if you want to know what to
look for, read THE CURSE OF THE PRESIDENCY.

THE NATIONAL INTEREST:Fuel In The FutureUsing just 6% of the land mass of the United States, enough biomass
could be cultivated to completely eliminate the dependence of the U.S. on
foreign oil. Biomass conversion could make it possible for the Third World
to industrialize, without destroying the environment. The only problem is
that the "free market system" of the republic has sold out the American
national interest, for the benefit of the Seven Sisters, the multinational oil
cartel. This short article by Lynn Osburn discusses the issue of biomass
conversion, and the most controversial source of biomass in existence, hemp.

THE BIRTH OF THE BLACKLISTThought-Control In AmericaCensorship in America has never been a job of the state. The vigilante
mentality of revolutionary society instilled into institutions the
discipline of self-restraint. The era of the Witchhunts and the Blacklist was one
of the bleekest in recent history. Ironically, there are various parallels to
today, as the right-wing enjoys a resurgence, and history repeats itself. This
cogent article sums up the entire history of the blacklist in Hollywood, and it
underscores the fact that power has influence in Hollywood, and even the principles
of profit are not always the top priority of the entertainment industry.

THE LEGACY OF RACISM IN "WHITE" AMERICAThis editorial addresses the taboo subject of racism in America. While
the partisans argue that there is little or no racism in the United States, the
victims dare to put the evidence in their face. The powerful in America have none
of the noblesse oblige that has made the class system bearable in Europe. Ideally
no society would be divided by social classes, but the reality is that America --
with slavery abolished virtually within living memory -- is wracked by social
tensions that are the by-product of a caste system. This editorial examines
the so-called "white" race, to find that what we uniformly call the "white"
race are the peoples of a variety of cultural traditions, not a single ethnic group. It reminds us that the phenomena
of modern racism had its genesis with the colonial movement that stirred Europe,
as a part of cold-blooded efforts to sustain the political control of the colonies
in the face of local, native opposition. A new perspective worthy of attention...

FASCISM IN FRANCEA Half Century After Vichy
Charles S. Maier, the author of this Opinion piece, teaches modern European history
at Harvard. His most recent book is "Dissolution: The Crisis of Communism
and the End of East Germany." This article examines the genuine zeal of
the civil servants of Vichy France, which actively collaborated with
Hitler and the Third Reich. It turns out that there were whole national populations
that cooperated with Hitler, who refuted this affiliation after the war, when it
was unpopular, and who disappeared through the collaboration of whole bureaucracies.
It is well known that fleeing Nazi's had use of Swiss passports, Red Cross passports,
and Vatican passports, to facilitate their entrance into South America. The head of
the United Nations, a former President of Austria, was an "unrepentant Nazi," who
served in the German Nazi army; how many records did he order sealed, to help out
his old compatriots? Anyone who thinks it could never happen again, think again.
Maier hits the pertinent issues with accuracy, precision, and chilling insight.

SLAVERY TODAY: PRISON LABORThe U.S. now has 1.6 million of its own citizens in prison and jail,
meaning that the U.S. has more of its own citizens held in penal servitude
than any other country on the Earth. Americans were horrified at the Nazi concentration
camps, where slaves worked for major German industries; and our own contemporaries
denounce China for using the slave labor of prisoners. But now prisoners in the U.S.
are being "employed" as slaves for businessmen at hourly rates that range from
minimum wage to .18 cents an hour. In this article by Associated Press reporter Dawn Fallik,
the use of slaves is accounted for as the result of the public's demand that prisoners
no longer have access to recreation, but instead are put to work. The reality, that public
demand is generated in response to the kind of reporting the media engages in, is never
examined too closely, because it implies that public opinion is being engineered...

What is a traditional nation? What is the nature of ethnicity? Why is a
republic the antithesis of tradition? If you are interested in more than
the conventional information loop the mass media is obsessed by, and want to dig into
the inner-most depths of American nationhood, this Archival document examines the
founding of the traditional American nation, and what that means to the average
American national.

openly speculating that if perhaps students were treated better, they might not
be so angry and hostile.
